Passion for Takes Couture to Know Couture

When you come to a crossroad in life, what do you do? Focus on couture or listen to your heart! Whichever way works fine, right? This top was love at first sight, when I saw it hanging there in the Juicy Couture store on Fifth Avenue, I knew I had to bring it back home with me. It makes its statement right there, no questions asked and absolutely no doubt. Some things are just clear, simple and no complications. The photos were taken in Panorama Voula, overlooking the beautiful Athenian Riviera! A view like that can definitely help you clear your mind, all you have to do is just listen to the wind. Happy Monday folks! Until next time, listen to the wind whenever you are in doubt! xoxo ES

Passion for Ancient Olympia

Happy Friday fashionistas! As promised, here I am sharing the photos from our recent visit to the Ancient Olympia. On our way to the Olympia Riviera Resort, my friend Maria and I were talking and we came to the conclusion that both of us have never actually been to the Ancient Olympia. Our last trip to the resort was 10 years ago, when we were both working for the same company. So we decided that it was a wise thing to do this time round and visit this magical place on the day of our departure.
Olympia is a sanctuary of ancient Greece in Elis, and is known as the birth place of the Olympic Games. The first Olympic Games were held in honour of Zeus. It is here that you will discover the Temple of Hera (this is where the torch of the Olympic flame is lit), the temple that was dedicated to Hera, goddess of women and marriage, and the wife of Zeus. She was one of the most important female deities in Greek religion. The Temple of Zeus was dedicated to the mythical god Zeus and it also housed the renowned statues of Zeus, which was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. In Ancient Greece, Olympia was sacred ground to the Greeks.

We also visited the Archaeological Museum of Olympia which houses artifacts found in the archaeological site of Ancient Olympia. The collections consist of terracottas from prehistoric, Archaic and Classical periods, collection of bronzes, sculptures and notable exhibits such as: The Hermes bearing the infant Dionysus by Praxiteles, The Nike of Paeonius, and so forth. This place is definitely worth visiting if you ever find yourselves exploring the Peloponnese. Until next time, enjoy your weekend. xoxo ES

Passion for Grecotel Olympia Riviera Resort

An inspiring place right? The endless blue just makes you want to get lost in your thoughts and freeze that very moment. For those of you who don’t know it, I am a hotel person at heart and by profession. As I have shared with you in my previous post, I had spent a beautiful four days last week at the Grecotel Olympia Riviera Thalasso to finalize the details of the Be a Model for A Day which I will be part of in Crete at the Grecotel Creta Palace this summer.

The Grecotel Model Academy introduces young ladies to the world of beauty and fashion. In just a week the professional team will work its wonders where little fashionistas will learn all the inside tips and tricks on Fashion blogging, fashion, social media, hair styling, make up, professional modelling, photo-shooting and much more. Sounds exciting right?! If you haven’t planned your holidays yet, well here is your chance now. You can find out more about this amazing project here.

Passion for Welcome Summer!

Hello darlings, I bet you have missed me! Sorry for the lack of posts lately, due to travelling and a bad wi-fi signal I did not get the chance to update you with my latest looks. I have spent nearly all last week at the Olympia Riviera Resort in Peloponnese, preparing for a very exciting project which I will be part of in the Grecotel hotel Creta Palace on the island of Crete this summer. The programme is called Be A Model For A Day and it runs in two hotels, the Olympia Riviera Thalasso in Peloponnese and the Creta Palace in Rethymno, Crete.  The Grecotel Model Academy introduces younger guests to the world of beauty and fashion, where I will be talking about the world of Fashion Blogging and Social Media. I will be sharing the photo diary of my visit to the Olympia Riviera Resort in the next post, so keep reading.

It is officially summer, and although all my summer clothes are all over the place, I have kept this Juicy Couture top close by since I bought it in New York back in October. Shorts have made a strong comeback into this season’s wardrobe, thus you can style them with pretty much anything you like. A classic black pair is always welcome. What are your summer favourites? Until next time, enjoy your weekend. xoxo ES
