Passion for the Carnival

Happy Tuesday everyone! Greetings from the sky, just joking, no flying for the time being but hopefully not for long. In this post I would like to share a few photos from the Carnival party which my friends and I organised two weekends ago. A bit of history on the tradition of what the Carnival is. The Carnival season in Greece is known as the Apokries and it last sfor a period of three weeks just before Lent. During this time the Greeks escape from the daily routines and dress up, celebrate and praise life. The history behind my trolley dolly suit, is that I went through all the stages of interviewing and applied for an actual trolley dolly job with the Emirates. It came about by chance and I guess not so by chance I got rejected. There goes the opportunity to travel the world but as my friends say, I am meant to fly with Emirates not for Emirates. I do believe that everything happens for a reason, and at the end of the day thanks to this exciting opportunity I selected a perfect costume for the Carnival. P.S. the green bag is the trendy new collection produced by the airline, it was a great addition to the costume. Don’t you think so? Until next time. xoxo ES

Passion for Snow

Hope you are all having a great Sunday! Quick post from the mountains. Today I decided to face my fear of hights and after many years of avoiding skiing I decided to give it a try. Have a great rest of the day. Until next time. xoxo ES

Passion for clutches SS12

As the fashion weeks have taken off at full speed in the most fashionable cities of the world, we are starting to look forward to the spring and summer days to come. And what they say is true, a girl can never have too many bags and never enough clutches! Delicate and perfectly designed little boxes that are like a jewel in a lady’s hand. Alexander McQueen's iconic box clutches are a timeless fashion classic and SS12's intricate sequined version is a perfect example of a jewel. Don’t be shy to experiment with neon colours, they are the juicy touch to any outfit. Finally the snake skin and prints are always a must in a stylish wardrobe. Ladies with this though in mind I would like to share some of my favourite pieces for SS12. Enjoy and until next time. xoxo ES

I have been fortunate enough to have visited a number of exciting destinations in my life and I am honestly grateful for these opportunities. My number one goal still remains of becoming the “citizen of the world”. I hope that you enjoy these vibrant images of the local life and attractions. Remember, anything is possible as long as you believe and work hard on achieving your goals. Until next time! xoxo ES

I still have a few more photos to share from my trip to Dubai, so in today’s post I will take you on a short trip to the Burj Al Arab hotel followed by a visit to the 360 Degrees Bar at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel. Here you can get an amazing view of the coastline and the city. It was great to visit this place again following my trip same time last year. I do have a passion for hotels! Passion for Atlantis & The Lost Chambers

Let’s see, what is my relationship with the fish? Apart from the fact that my grandparents were both Pisces, my cousins are also Pisces, my best friend is a Pisces and the one person who I thought was close to being a so called “soul-mate” is a Pisces. Here is my life story in a fish tank! Let’s freeze this thought for a second and focus on the little creatures know as fish which were photographed at their chic and glamorous address, Atlantis The Palm Hotel Dubai!  I was not actually present at that same place at that time but my darling designated photographer Helen Ra-Ra and the number one Atlantis guide Vladimir took some pretty amazing shots. Don’t you think so? Apparently the story of the Lost Chambers is that during the construction of the resort, a complex series of passages was uncovered, thought to have been buried thousands of years ago by the waters of the Arabian Gulf. Upon further investigation, an ancient street system was discovered and the theory came into being that these were in fact remains from the Lost City of Atlantis. Such an exciting discovery has raised many questions about Atlantean civilisation and culture, some of which will never be answered. However, it seems that this network of streets has revealed artefacts from very civilised people who possessed an incredible level of technology. Enjoy the waters and its wonders. Until next time. xoxo ES
