Passions in your closet!

There comes a point in one’s life that they take their passions and bury them deep inside their closet. There are moments that you just get so caught up in the everyday routine, that you forget to focus on your hobbies and your talents. And although you know in the back of your head, that “wait a minute , I have this hobby that once inspired me and relaxed me”, you still go on and say, “oh, well I can try it tomorrow”. The problem with tomorrow is that it can drag on to the day after tomorrow, and the day after, until you realize that about 5 years have just passed and you are still stuck on tomorrow. The truth is that, no matter how much you ignore your passions they will still catch up with you and knock on you back and say “Why are you ignoring me?” It is like doing a job that you are just not passionate about. Ok, we all have things in our lives that we just have to do, and a lot of people wake up every morning to go to a job that doesn’t give them any satisfaction but just a pay check in the end of the month. No matter how many years you spend in accomplishment and achievements, but if you are doing it for the wrong reason of just to prove something to someone, in the end if it’s not your passion but instead it’s just years of running in a vicious circle. You can do the 360 degrees over and over again, but you will not get away from yourself. As long as you go after the wrong reasons and ignore your passions you will never truly feel content with anything you do.

It sounds simple, yes, although in order to get to a point that you can actually make it work, well that’s where the secret lies. Nothing comes easy I guess, in order to get somewhere or to achieve something that you desire, well you must really put your heart and mind to it. Today’s world has become really flat and as people start to lose their values , communication becomes even more difficult. It seems that nowadays people wear their acting masks or they hide behind their computer screens on Facebook, Twitter, etc. We also get caught up in the things that we HAVE to do, instead of what we WANT to do. I have noticed that giving too much doesn’t necessarily mean that you are doing yourself a favour. Although it is known that if you do good to others, it will come back to you eventually. However, when you service others too much you forget the most important person, and that is yourself. When you reach the crossroad and you have to make a choice, keep or let go, and this is your chance to turn everything around and shift your life into a different direction. This is the time of the season when you have to clean out your closet, throw away some old things, reevaluate the people in your life and take our your hidden values and the things that make you look and feel good.
